Love tapes [videorecording] / by Wendy Clarke. [1987]

This video is a selection from the Love tapes, a long-term video project by Wendy Clarke, begun in 1977, that compiles brief monologues on love by diverse individuals, most recorded in video booths temporarily installed in public places. Each person sits alone in the booth with a camera and monitor and talks about love for three minutes, with the music of his or her choice playing in the background. By 1988 Clarke had produced more than 1,500 tapes in Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, Hartford, Chicago, France, and Brazil.
